These are the terms you agree to by using expeditiongames.app. We've kept them short and readable, because a page of legal boilerplate nobody finishes helps nobody.
Using the games
The games on this site are free to play, in your browser, for personal enjoyment. You don't need an account, and you don't need to pay. We ask only that you use the site in good faith: don't attack it, don't scrape it wholesale, don't try to break the leaderboards or other players' experience, and don't use automated tools to generate traffic or ad impressions.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you make one, you're responsible for keeping access to it secure, and for anything done through it. Choose a screen name that isn't offensive or impersonating someone else — we may change or remove screen names that are. You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page.
Our content
The games, their code, art, writing, characters and design are original work and remain the property of Expedition Games. You're welcome to play them, link to them, stream them, and write about them. You may not copy, rehost, resell, or make derivative versions of the games without our permission. If you'd like to do something with them, just ask — we're approachable.
Advertising
This site carries advertising, which is what keeps the games free. Ads are served by Google and its partners, and we don't control or endorse the specific products advertised. How ads use cookies, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Saved progress
Game progress is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. That means it's private to you — and also that it can disappear if you clear your browser data, switch devices, or use private browsing. We can't recover locally-saved progress, so please don't treat a high score as permanently archived.
Availability, and no warranty
These are handmade games from a one-person studio, offered as is. We work hard to keep them fun and working, but we can't promise the site will always be available, bug-free, or compatible with every browser and device. Games in development may change or be withdrawn. To the fullest extent the law allows, Expedition Games isn't liable for any loss arising from use of the site — and nothing here limits rights you have that can't legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
